Hello Edwin,

Many, many thanks!!! I knew there were several Larkin Smiths and had figured who they were named for, but was not aware of the relation of the Towles to him! My email is wodening@geocities.com Word for Windows files woud work best, although I can also use pdf files.

BTW, I live in Huntsville, Missouri which is about 40 miles from where Larkin Smith Towles died and is buried. Apparently, there was a small colony of Towles here in Central Missouri from VA and KY. My great garndfather Robert (son of Thomas son of Stockley and Elizabeth Downman) as did Stokeley William (whom I believe to be his his first cousin through William Payne Towles). Whether they were aware Larkin was near Mexico, MO or not I do not know.. my guess is they did.
