Kimbal,
I am not aware if Stockley TOWLES served in the militia or not, however, I am told by a TOWLES descendant and researcher in Charleston, SC that the Tories burned Stockley TOWLES home down during the Revolution, which would indicate he probably did. I will check my records and see if I can come up with anything and I'll get back to you. Regards, Keith
