Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Phil, Look and see if you can find yourself a copy of the Publication by the Virginia State Library and Archives, Virginia Soldiers of the American Revolution, compilied by Hamilton J. Eckenrode, Vol I. It has 17 references to TOWLES who served in the R.W., (this is a reprint of the 1912, List of the Revolutionary Soldiers of Virginia)
All that I had time to copy was the index for the Towles. Maybe after the next trip up to Richmond, I will purchase a copy of it. If I do I will post a note that I will be able to do look ups.

John
