My great-great grandfather was John Culbreath Towles, who was married to Louisa A. Darden. My great-grandfather was their son, John Stokely Towles, and was married to Ione Bell Cargile. My GGF was born in January, 1841 in Lafayette, Alabama, and father nine children:
William B. Towles
John Mark Towles
Charles Gordon Towles
Annie Louisa Towles (my grandmother)
Lillie F. Towles
Kate Towles
George James Towles
Diamond Elizabeth Towles
Stokely Towles

This is basically all I know, but am interested in how the family came to Alabama, their occupations, etc. I would also like to know how you are related to these Towles.

I am 54 years old and live in Kermit, Texas.
