I think we may have hit upon the same family tree here. I am looking for the parents of Henry McCuin Towles b. 1863 in McMinnville, TN (Warren CO.) and Dovie Mae Towles b. abt 1873 in McMinnville, TN (Warren Co.).
Based on the Warren CO. TN Census from 1880, Joseph S. Towles age 44 m. to Sallie S. age 38 is listed with the following children: Henry (age 16), Arthur W. (age 14), Joseph (age 11), Annah (age 9), and Dovie M (age 7). Could this be the same Joseph S. you have listed as b. 1836? Could his wife be Sarah (or Sallie?)
If you have any info. on the Towles from TN. I would appreciate you sharing any info you have. I hit a brick wall with Dovie Mae Towles, but know for sure that she had brothers by the names of Henry McCuin, Arthur, Ed, and Jim based on an obit for Henry from So. Pittsburg newpaper dated 1923.
