TOWLES---In Wilton July 5th 1875,of apoplexy, in the 56th year of his age C.W Towles.

Birth Est--1819
Place Born -Marcellus,Onondaga County, NY
Immigrated --To Wilton in 1856: Monroe County,WI (Settling near the Post Office in Dorset as an early settler.)
Wife--Mentioned but not named in obituary
Service--By request Rev. C.W. Kellogg preached a sermon from Eccl.9:10.
Funeral was in Charge of the Lodge of Odd Fellows
Note: He had enjoyed the celebration of the 4th of July in Norwalk on the 3ed and returned there on the 4th.Retiring at 10 p.m.---on the 4th & intending to spend the 5th at Kendal. Shortly after his wife found him unconscious & summoned medical aid. At 2:00a.m.life was extinct.(On July 5,1875) Source "The Tomah Journal" July 17,1875. Not related Ann
