The Toliver caught my attention....there was another Toliver Towles in Alabama....and he married Sarah Ann King, daughter of William King of Georgia.....they (the Kings) lived in Dale co., Alabama in 1860 before moving to Panola co., Texas
In 1860 Ala. census Dale co......this Toliver was with the William M. Towles household...Wm. M. born in SC age 45.... and his wife born in Georgia...all kids before and after Toliver born in Alabama except Toliver...he or they said he was born in Illinois?????? He was eleven yrs. old... He and Sallie King Towles were still in Dale co., Alabama in 1870...living next door to W.N. Towles...In 1850 Alabama census, Dale co. also William Towles age 76 born S.C.....with him was Wm. N. Towles age 34 SC, wife Martha and five children...Mary,8 born Alabama.. Laura, age 6, born Ala., John age 6 born Illinois, Toliver age 2 born Illinois and Martha age 6/12 born Alabama.....this is from my notes from years ago...we know Laura can't be same age as John and one boren Alabama and one born in Illinois...so John & Toliver must be some other kin....
If you know anything about this people I'd appreciate some help...they named a son John T....and believe he had a son named AJames Toliver in 1908 by his wife, Mary McIlvain in Stephens co., Ok....maybe Texas.... thanks
Sarah A. and Toliver both buried in Oklahoma...Toliver died 1895 and she died 1901 and buried in Dixie Cemetery east of Commanche, Ok. and Duncan ,Ok.
