Was Rev. John son of James Towles, who was son of William Henry and Keturah George??? The story of the brothers sounds facinating, and somehow I do not have the uinformation in by database. My great uncles George D. and Thomas Thierrot Towles served in the War, but survived.

And then William Eskridge Towles served with the Washington Artillery of New Orleans, LA. He later served on the staff of Gen. J. E. B. Stuart with the rank of captain. He was killed in a railroad accident near the Chickasaw River while returning home on a furlough.

I wonder how many of the Towles boys served??? It seems like a good majority of them in that age range.
