If you are still checking this site, Madison County has a great "History of Madison County" and several of William Thomas and Emma Jane (Sheeler) Townley's descendants still live in the Madisonville area.If the Ella (b. Nov. 29, 1865 - died June 21, 1927) you are looking for is the daughter of William and Emma; she married a William Isaiah Stewart and is buried in the Park Cemetery just outside of Madisonville off of Hwy 75. As is William and Emma; along with Richmond Harrison Townley.I know I have run across a Cora; can't seem to put my hands on the information at the moment.
I appreciate your placing a copy of the information gathered by Hulen Townley in the Conroe Library -- I ran across it a few weeks back as I continue to research my side of the Townley family.John Luther - ggg grandfather; Richmond Harrison - gg grandfather; John Madsion - g grandfather; Stephen Wallace - grandfather; Jimmy Stevenson - father.
I just came across information about Henry Townley receiving 100 acres for his service as a private in the Maryland Army. The land warrant was issued on August 19, 1791.
