Hi,
I am very interested in thhe Tozer name and history. I realize that your message was posted 3 years ago, but hopefully people are still reading them. As I recall from what I was told, Iain is quite correct about the meaning of Tozer - "to tease or comb wool". My family originated from Devon / Cornwall (not sure but possibly Plymouth) I have discovered that a John Pinson Newton TOZER emigrated to Adelaide, South Australia on the "Navarino" arriving 6th Dec. 1937. with his wife Jane. Can anyone help me find a UK connection? I would be extremely grateful. Thanks, Kathryn (nee Tozer).
