Have you managed to find anything about John & Jane in the last five years?
I have found Jane (widow)on the 1851 census for Felpham, age 79 born Hunston. She died 1860 age 88 at Sidlesham 'widow of John, Agricultural Labourer'. No sign of John's baptism, death, burial or on any census. He is a mystery.
We must compare notes on how far you families coincide.
