John Trayle 1715 Charles County ,Maryland
After an in depth study of the ancient script involving the clerk who in 1722 indexed the Charles County records I have come to the conclusion that John Trayle in the 1715 record with Charles Higdon was actually a John Nayle who is also referred to in other records as a John Nail/Nally. The later Higdon and Trail alliance at Seneca Creek I assume was coincidence. I am at present looking into the original script for John Treale of Rappahannock County dated 1662 to verify that as well. To date ,acccording to my research, the first verifiable Trails to appear and settle in America would look something like this; Robert Trail of Delaware 1674
Rev. William Trail of Maryland 1683
David Trail Sr. of Maryland abt. 1695
James Trail Sr. of Delaware abt. 1698
John Trail of Massachusettes abt. 1718
Robert Trail of Pennsylvania abt. 1763
