I am researching this question also. I believe that the town now known as Troina may have formerly been Traina, based on a map that my mother saw. On her map, the name of the town was spelled as Traina, but on a current map of Sicily, that location is now called Troina. If you hear of anything regarding this, please send me an e-mail.
