Yes, there is a town in Sicilliy called.. Traina, beautiful place ,beautiful terrain. Also many Carmelite convents, most are run down now. A major feast day is celebrated there in honor of Saint Rosalia Traina , who died at a young age in a cave. a shrine now marks the place. She is said to be a decendant of Charlemaign. Town of gypsy decendants also.. . Sounds true to the Triana family either saints or sinners no inbetween.. Also said to be a town of festivals very alive, with serene landscape.. Hope I answered your questions. recently I found traina name in a yiddish site with name meaning in yiddish. So there may be some trainas of yiddish desent. Traina pronounced TRI-ENA in sicillian. family stories and tradition include two Catholic saints .. one with a lilly, and the other a gladiator.. also said this name has been traced as far back as the cross. Not sure of this.. wanted to pass on what I have though hope to give clues but not wanting to thow you off track either.. hope all is helpful
