Yes, Denis' father was William Baten Tramel, b. before 1775 place unknown. He had two wives, the first one I haven't found a name for and she was the mother of John Frazier Tramel, Thomas, Shadrick, Dennis and Daniel. W.B. moved to TN and was the first white settler of Indian Creek near Smithville today. Dennis was born 1814 in Smith Co. TN and died 15 of Jun 1894 Dekalb co. TN. I think Smith co. was divided and Dekalb co. was created at that time. The Tramels did not move. I have Dennis' wife as Nancy A. Botts, and children are William Harrison, Mary Ann (Polly Ann), Annis M., Shadrick, Daniel, John T. and Margaret A. (Peggy). Does this all look like your tree? Send me any info you may have. I am happy to share. Layne
