Daniel, I do have some info but not in front of me.
William B. I have been told arrived in smith county around 1803. The area they settled would be the indian creek area, now dekalb county. I have the names of dennis's children and wife, too.
One of which was shadrick or shade which fought in the civil war for the south then the north. this one was the father of dennis my grand father and this dennis was marvin's my father's father.
Which son or daugther of dennis 1815 was your line?
Please note there are atleast 3 tramel sets in this area at that time. Again I will look at my records to see.
Be carful, the tramels in this area are of names and dates which are alike. There are several john's and thomas's daniel' and shadrick's and shadrack's.
I think from memory william B.'s sons were a john, thomas, dennis and that is all I can recall from memeory. But I will have to find my records for names and dates.
These sons of william b. are where I think the sets of tramels now derive. I have also been told but not verified William b. was acompanied to tennessee by several other brothers. This seems to have been a common practice across the cumberland gap in that time.
Note too there are several tramel from the north as well from sumner county tn. and ky.
