I have no information on Elizabeth, but my great-grandmother was a Trammel from Fort Smith named Martha Lucinda etc., each name honoring an aunt. (I got the "Lucinda" tag.) She was the sole survivor when her family was massacred by bushwhackers after the War Between the States, probably about 1869, when she was aged 10 or thereabouts. One of her grandparents was a Chicksaw (maybe Choctaw) Indian. She married a Lang, a shoemaker in Fort Smith, moved variously to Texas and California, and lived on into her 90's. If you have any leads on the Arkansas Trammels, I would love to hear of them. I hope to track down enough info to request archives from the Fort Smith Library.

I don't know whether we're barking up the same tree, so to speak, but good luck in your search.
