The Whitten or Old Hurricane cemetary as it is also known is approximately 5 miles South of Fillmore, IL just off of Rt. 185 and actually further North of Mulberry Grove than 5 miles. It is in Montgomery Co. As far as anyone having information on him, James, I think it would be doubtful as he has been gone for so many years. Possibly the Montgomery Genealogical Soc., but that is a long shot. As far as other records he lived in an area where he could have been in Mongomery, Fayette or Bond County as the county lines are close and living on one side of the road or other would have made the difference. As I mentioned I have seen his stone, but all it has on it is his last name and from what I understand a rock was the only marker for his grave for years. I say stone, but it is basically a square with his last name and flat and even with the ground to indicate where he is buried. An old timer in the area showed me the location or I would not have ever found it.
