I saw your post regarding the William TRAVER family in Chemung County NY.My ancestor Solomon TRAVER is listed in the 1840 Census of Chemung NY along with your William TRAVER.I have no proof but have always assumed that they were brothers mainly because of their physical proximity, their closeness in age and because William had another son that you do not mention whose name was also Solomon.Young Solomon can be found in the 1850 Chemung Census along with William and Sarah and all the other children that you mention. He is 12 years old in 1850.I have also found a notice of this younger Solomon's death in 1868 at the age of 29 yrs and 8 months where he is indicated as being the son of William and Sarah TRAVER (living in Elmira, NY).I can not get beyond my ancestor Solomon TRAVER who lived variously in Chemung County NY and just across the border in Tioga County, PA.
If you have any information that ties these two families together or any information about their ancestors then I would truly appreciate communicating with you.
