Origins of Travieso surname, geneology
Posted by: ARTHUR TRAVIESO Date: August 03, 2000 at 10:20:48

My father is Pedro born in Cuba. His father was Justiniano, born in Canary Islands. the name is a spanish word for "toublemaker" or "mischievous" and is most often used to describe children. I have read in places that it may be a bastardization of the italian "treviso". Until now, I have only met Cubans and Spaniards that have the name.
