John Travis

Trying to find my grandfather John Travis several generations removed. Paperwork (undocumented) from relatives tells me he descended from the Edward Travis family of Jamestown, VA, a very prominent family. The line is as follows: Edward Travis I, Edward Travis II, Edward Travis III, Edward Champion Travis, Champion Travis, John Travis. John's siblings were Susan, Catherine, Betsey, Eward, Samuel, and Robert. Have cy of Edward Travis' (John's brother) Will that shows both Edward and John in Henry County, TN. Am trying to find whether John migrated to Franklin County, TN, and married Polly Kitchens. I'm hoping this John is actually my grandfather. Don't have a middle initial, which would help.
