I made a quick check of the 1850 census in Alabama and Louisiana. William Bryant or Bryant William was lsited as age 26 and already in Lousisiana. I found the following infomation in the Alabama census for Dale County.
William R. Trawick 50
Tempurance 44
Mary 24
James 18
Elizabeth 16
Narcissa 14
Frances 12
Henrietta 8

In a seperate household was Richard 22 and Elizabeth 18. All of the Trawicks listed Georgia as their place of birth. We knew that there were additional children.

I have no idea if William R. inlisted in the war. As soon as I cna I am going to the state archives and see if they have the Alabama CSA Vet listing.
