PASSES AWAY SUDDENLYMrs James A. Adams passed away suddenly at 8:30 o’clock this morning at her home on East Franklin street from the effects of uraemic coma, caused by childbirth. She had been ill only a few hours and the news of her demise cast a pall over the entire community. She was beloved by everyone who knew her and her untimely taking away will be deeply grieved by her hundreds of friends. The sympathy of everyone goes out to the husband, brothers and sisters fo the deceased in their deep bereavement.

At the time of her death she was aged 39 years, 3 months and 19 days. Her life for 13 years prior to her marriage was devoted to school teaching – three years in country schools and the remaining ten years in the east side schools of Taylorville. Her work was done conscientiously and ably, and of the hundreds who came under her instruction there was not one but always admired and loved her for her goodliness and kindliness.

She was elected president of the Woman’s club two years ago and the term would not have expired until September of this year.
