I saw that you mentioned a James Bud Traylor. Would he happen to be the son of Dunston & Frances Traylor? If this is correct, then I have been researching this particular line. Dunston Traylor was the owner of my great-great grandfather and I have been desperatly searching for any family records about this specific line. I know there is a book written by a Traylor Russell but, it does not give me enough info on Dunston's slaves. I am looking for my gr-gr grandfather's DOB, siblings, parents and any other info pertaining to his life. This info most likely would be present in family bible records, plantation records, etc. but, I don't know if any such records exist. Can you help? Also, I do have a lot of info on the Dunston Traylor family line and will be happy to share what I have.
