I have a book written by Migeman Buckman Traylor (2 Nov 1865-28 Jul 1952) that is entitled "Just a Glimpse Into the Life of a Trader." It is one story after another told with amazing imagery that gives a glimpse of what life was like in Randolph County, Alabama before the turn of the century. At the beginning of one paragraph he will have nothing but two chickens and two paragraphs later he is the proud owner of two horses, a mule, and $15 to boot. I will soon be scanning the book and making a .pdf file out of it and will be posting it to my web site on

Migeman Buckman Traylor is the son of Migeman Buckley Traylor's youngest son, John Oliphant Traylor.
