My dad's sister Esther Lucille (HIMES)b. Dec 1913 Fayette Co, IL,(daughter of Ernest William HIMES &
Morna Eveline (BESS),
married 10 Feb 1935 Fayette Co, IL Wilbur TRAYLOR.
Wilbur was a son of Charles & Bertha (WHITTEN)TRAYLOR.
I know he had at least two sisters, Bernice (TRAYLOR) WILCOX & Velma (TRAYLOR) ELMORE, I think.
My own maternal grandmother Morna Eveline (BESS) HIMES ancestors came to Bond, Fayette and Montgomery Co, Illinois area quite early.
Uncle Wilbur died a number of years ago in Decatur, Macon Co, IL.
Aunt Esther died Dec 2002 Decatur, Macon Co,IL.
They never had any children so I decided to search uncle Wilbur TRAYLOR's line of ancestry.
I just realized I didn't have any birth or death dates for uncle Wilbur. Do you happen to know them?
I think he died in the early 1960s. He wasn't too well after he was hit and nearly killed by a fast moving big commercial truck while opening his big commerical truck door at a REST AREA.
