Thank you Jim for the information. I appreciate it. I was told that the courthouse in Randolph County burned in 1897 so no records are available so I will check where you suggested. I found on Ancestry.com a Paralee Traylor with parents of William Traylor and Nancy in the Alabama 1870 census and in the 1910 census it showed Parralee married and her mother's place of birth as South Carolina, so perhaps that's where I can find what I'm looking for.
Then I did another search for Paralee and it gave parents of John Traylor and Almetia A. Lemon. I am seeing the name spelled different ways but on her headstone it's Parrelee. Anyway, I will check with those you suggested and I thank you very much.
