Keziah Traylor b. 1805 - Mother was a slave?

I was just recently browsing on another genealogy site and came across a claim that Keziah Traylor (b. 1805 in KY), wife of James Wiseman Durbin, was the daughter of Absalom Traylor and a female slave named Sarah.

I have never read that her mother was a slave before - it's piqued my curiosity. Has anyone heard of this before and can it be substantiated?
