John Jacob Traylor (1811-1866) was the son of James Traylor (1784-1852) and Nancy Cardwell (1878-1817). Several members of this Traylor family settled in Montgomery County, Illinois in the 1830s and are buried there. They descend from the Edward Traylor family which settled in the area of Petersburg, Virginia in the 17th century.

Theresa (also known as Turza) Jane Blair was the daughter of John Blair (1799-1871) of Burke County, North Carolina and Elizabeth Jane Isaacks/Isaacs (1800-1871). They are buried at the Clear Springs Cemetery, near Hillsboro, Illinois.
