Some of the Traylors of Montgomery County, Illinois, are related to Daniel Boone in a roundabout way. John Jacob Traylor's wife, Turza (Theresa) Jane Blair was the great-great-great granddaughter of Edward Morgan, who was the maternal grandfather of Daniel Boone.

The Morgan-Boone descent goes like this: Edward Morgan was the father of Sarah Morgan, who was the mother of Daniel Boone.

The Morgan-Blair-Traylor line goes like this: Edward Morgan was the father of John Morgan, who was the father of Sarah Morgan (niece of Daniel Boone's mother), who was the mother of Colbert Blair II, who was the father of John Blair, who was the father of Turza Jane Blair, who married John Jacob Traylor.

John Jacob Traylor (1811-1866) was the son of James Traylor, b. Chesterfield County, Virginia in 1784 and d. Montgomery County, Illinois in 1852.

There may be other Boone connections, but I am not aware of them.
