Traylor Family Genealogy Forum
My father was born in Washington, Indiana. When next you travel there, visit the Iva Public Cemetery, just south of the White River (off indiana 257) in Pike County, and the Case Cemetery (requires a guide, as it is 1/4 mile from nearest road. The Case Cemetery is located not a half mile from the Puiblic Cemetery. My Trayler family were some of the first pioneers in Pike County, arriving from South Carolina in 1814. Yes, the spelling of the name is Trayler, however, many years ago, some spelled it Traylor. The cemetery visits will provide quite a bit of information.
I will be in Washington next week at a family reunion. the Hancock family, which was my grandmothers family, also early settlers in Pike County.
