I just saw your followup to info about the Traylor/McDaniels saga in TN and TX. I don't believe I responded to you. I am related by way of E.P. Traylor's sister, Susan Traylor in Rutherford Co. TN. She was my gr.gr. grandmother. While gathering info on the family, I ran across interesting notes on a murder back in the 1870s. I have a letter typed that was in another file kept by an elderly family member in Smyrna, TN. After going over all of it, and documenting it, I was able to piece it all together. Also have copies of the original court documents of the trials. My E.P.(Edmund Pegram) Traylor married Eliz. McDaniel. They had 14 kids. Be glad to mail you copies of the documents by regular mail. email me at cjw385@comcast.net and give address.
