Terry,
There were TWO TREADWAY brothers who migrated from Maryland to that part of VA which became WVA. AND there was the JESSE TREADAWAY (b c 1800 NC) line that went to that part of VA which became WVA. Do you know which of these 3 lines you descend from? With the JOHNSON connection I would suggest that you search the JESSE TREADAWAY line. His wife was a JOHNSON.

JESSE TREADAWAY was the son of a MARY TREADAWAY; his father was JOHN LYKINS (will in VA calls Jesse Treadaway his (John's) son and legatee). Jesse Treadaway named his own son, JOHN LYKINS TREADAWAY.
