RE: ARRON & ELIZABETH TREADAWAY of AL AARON TREADAWAY (b c 1812 Robertson Co TN) is the son of ISHAM TREADAWAY (b "most probably in" MD or KY [per son Benjamin's census report]/d Robertson Co TN (per will)] & HANNAH (?) of Robertson Co TN. [Isham is first reflected in circa 1797 in Greene Co TN tax records -- he, with his young family, moved by 1803 (per sheriff's land auction records) to Robertson Co TN.] [Isham is believed to be a son of William Treadway (b 1736 MD/d 1797 Sullivan Co TN.] [Isham has a sister, Nancy Treadway, who married William Finley -- they are in the 1790 Burke (now Sullivan Co TN) Co NC census -- they, also, moved from east TN to Robertson Co TN circa 1803 (per sheriff's land auction records).] [Isham Treadaway died, leaving a will in Robertson Co TN (see TREADWAY WEB by my cousin, Randy Treadway, to view the body of that will and further information on Isham's line).] ISHAM & HANNAH hd the following children: 1. Mary "Polly" (b c 1798 TN) m Perry P. Benson 2. Benjamin A. (b c 1800 TN) m Mary "Polly" Bird (Byrd) 3. William (b c 1803 TN) 4. John (b c 1807 TN) 5. Aaron (b c 1809 TN) 6. Elizabeth (b c 1810 TN) 7. Thomas (b c 1812 TN) 8. Isham (Jr) (b 1817 TN) Mary "Polly" died in the 1840s in Carroll Co TN -- Perry remarried & went to AL & MS. Benjamin left TN and went to AL and MS. [easy census info] William left TN and went to AL and MS. [easy census info] John left TN and went to AL and MS. [easy census info] Thomas left TN and went to AL and MS. [easy census info] Elizabeth married a Choate (Shoat), stayed in TN for a while then went to MS near her brothers. Aaron left TN a single, young man and stayed near his brothers in AL and MS. [easy census info] [AL & MS land records also record these brothers registering land.] Isham (Jr) remained in Robertson Co TN; lived with the Gwin Parks family where he was apprenticed as a cabinet maker; later became a mechanic; he married LOUISA JANE GILBERT, daughter of John Gilbert & Mary Parks.
