Mary Anne,
Hello to you, and your husband. I am curious about your husband's surname: Riggan. I have seen census records listing the suname Riggan, Bigger, Riggar, etc. (apparent misspellings) often connected with various Treadway/Treadaway families through several generations. Most of the Riggan/Reagan families came from, possibly, common ancestors from North Carolina. Have you found this to be the case with your Riggan surname?

As to ISHAM TREADAWAY [Sr] -- I have been to Robertson Co TN in my field research on the TN Treadway/Treadaway families. I have attempted to find (the) Old Church and Old Church Cemetery. The location of the ancient church and burial ground have eluded me. The administrator of the Robertson Co TN Arcives in Springfield TN was familiar with area of Robertson Co -- she was very easy to communicate with, and willing to be of assistance. You may want to contact the archives office and see what you can discover. I would also suggest checking the ancient deeds records to attempt to locate the land which was donated for the original church site.

I wish you luck in your continued research. I would be interested in learning if you can locate the burial site of Isham and/or his wife, Hannah.
