Posted by: MARIE BAYLES Date: March 24, 2001 at 15:11:01   of 1027 On the 1850 Estill co., Kentucky census there is a listing for a Catherine Treadway living with Thomas and Nancy (age 44) Bennett and family. How was she related to this family? Was she the mother to Nancy? Catherine Treadway is listed on the census as age 75 (born 1775) and being born in NC. On the 1860 Owsley co., Kentucky census Catherine is found living with William Walton Treadway and family....she is now 85 years old....how is she related to William Walton Treadway? It has been suggested to me that she is Mary Catherine De Witt Treadway wife of Moses Treadway and daughter of Peter Treadway...if that is the case, I found William Walton's mother was indeed Mary Catherine De Witt, but I could not find Mary Catherine De Witt having a daughter named Nancy.
