This Moses Treadway was the brother to my great, great grandfather William Butler Treadaway. This Treadway family added a 3rd a to thier name TREADAWAY. According to research done and posted several years ago by Randy Treadway on his site The Treadway Web, Moses was born March 12, 1812 in Anson Co., NC married three times:1)Mary Ragsdale, had 3 children 2)Mary Polly Stegall ca 1860 had 8 children 3)Elizabeth Massey m. Apr.28,1849 in Wilkes Co.,NC.Moses died Nov. 7, 1890 in Cherokee, Swain Co., NC. A listing of his children were also listed as this site. Their part of Anson County changed to Union County in 1847. Moses did serve in the Civil War.
