Hi Kathy,
It's been a long time since your posting, and you may have this info by now, but here's what I know.
Edmund Tredway b c 1798, m. Rachel Mainard in Rhea/Roane Co. TN in 1822. (The license was obtained in Rhea County, but there was some confusion in those days about where the county line was. They lived on the Rhea County side of Whites Creek). I believe Edmund and Rachel were both born in Tennessee. There are lots of Treadways and Mainard/Maner/Manards (take your pick, same family)in Tennessee and Western North Carolina.
Children of Edmund and Rachel were:
Thomas bc 1824 m. Elizabeth Smith in Roane Co.
Lucy Ann bc 1826 m. Daniel Pleasants.
Margaret Jane bc 1828 m. Samuel Hartbarger.
Jesse J. bc 1834.
John R. bc 1835 m. Malinda Hughes (John died at Vicksburg in the Civil War. Malinda remarried Major Holloway).
Edmund Francis Marion bc 1838 m. Ellen Parker.
Levi Jackson b 1841 m. Mary Jane Fine.(my ggrandparents).
Josiah(Joseph) A. b 1844 m. Susan Britt.
My cousins and I are still trying to determine who Edmund's parents were. Rachel Mainard's parents were Gibson Manard, Jr. bc 1774 m. Delilah Cate bc 1785.
