I think we have a match!! I don't have all your answers, but this Henry Tredway is probably the man you are looking for.

Henry Tredway was born in 1795 in Hartford Co., MD and died in 1850 in Parkersburg, Wood Co. WV. He married (1) Unknown (sorry I don't have a name) and they were parents of at least 5 children:

1. William Tredway, no dates.
2. Alsinda Tredway, no dates.
3. Calvin Tredway, b. 1822. Calvin was in the WV Militia during the Civil War.
4. Ellen Tredway, b. 1825.
5. Melissa Tredway, b. 1836.

Henry Tredway married (2) Eliza Ann Foley 02 Aug 1836. Eliza Ann Foley, daughter of Scarlett Green and Mary (Neal) Foley, was born in 1812. Henry and Eliza were parents of at least 7 children:

1. Lewis John Tredway, b. 17 Aug 1839 in Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV; d. 02 Jul 1915 in Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV, age 75. Lewis married Kathryn "Kate" Ingersoll, 13 Jan 1870 in Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV. He was a Civil War vet.
2. Henrietta Tredway, b. 1839 in Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV.
3. James E. Tredway, b. 1841 in Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV and d. 24 Nov 1863 in Grafton, WV. He was buried in Grafton National Cemetery, Grafton, WV. James served in the 6th WV Infantry (Union) and died of complications from amputation from a wound received near Grafton in 1862.
4. Christopher Columbus Tredway, b. 1842 in Parkersburg, Wood Co., NY. He died near Jamestown, NY. He was a Civil vet, with the 1st OH Volunteer Infantry and saw a lot of action.
5. Harriet Tredway, b. 1844. She married D. L. McPherson 14 Oct 1869.
6. Caroline Tredway, b. 1846 in Hartford, MD.
7. Asbury Tredway, b. 1849 in Parkersburg, Wood Co., WV. Asbury married Sarah Buckhannon.

Sue, I've not done any parimary research on this family, so the information needs to be proven. I hope it helps you.
