Family of William Morgan Treadway (of John, Robert, William, Thomas)

William Morgan Treadway born 1815 in Carter Co., Tennessee, married twice. He married first to Martha Jane Hyder on 28 May 1846 in Carter Co., Tennessee, the daughter of John Hyder and Mary Williams. Martha was born on 21 November 1826 in Carter Co., Tennessee. William and his family were listed in the 1860 2nd Divison, and 1870 4th District, Carter Co., Tennessee Census. Martha died on 22 September 1866 in Carter Co., Tennessee. Their children were:

1. John H. Treadway, b: 1850, Carter Co., TN (m. Mary M. Pugh)
2. Elizabeth Treadway, b: 1854, Carter Co., TN
3. Hampton Treadway, b: 1856, Carter Co., TN
4. Eliza Jane Treadway, b: 1857, Carter Co., TN
5. Samuel E. Treadway, b: 1860, Carter Co., TN
6. Julia A. Treadway, b: 1863, Carter Co., TN
7. William H. (MOORE) Treadway, b: ca 1845, TN. This William was born a Moore and was living in the Treadway household in the 1850 census records, but we do not know who his parents were. He joined the Civil War under the name of William H. Treadway. He married Sarah E. Pugh on 20 Jun 1866 in Carter Co., TN. Children: Mary E., John H., William R., George E., James M., and Roderick Randolph Treadway. (Thank you for this information Claudia).
