Jeff, I don't know if we're talking about the same person or not. I have Samuel Bowersox's Civil War pension records. All of the information regarding his wife and children comes from those. It includes their marriage record and the names of the children and obviously Isabella's name. All correspondence indicates that she lived in Hannibal, MO. The records suggest that she died in June 1896. Since I posted my query I have learned that there is an Isabella Bowersox who was buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery in an unmarked grave in 1896.
Also, I have the book on descendants of Paulus Bauersachs which includes Samuel (he was my great-grandfather's brother). I have looked at all 24 Charles Bowersoxes in the book and none of them had a wife named either Elizabeth or Treaster.
Finally, what prompted my query is that I have never been able to find her or her children in Missouri in the census records. But, obviously the pension records prove that she was there.
