Marcus Treat Spees, b. 1828, Chenango co. NY, migrated to Oberlin, OH in the 1840's, then to Tabor, IA. He married Minerva Townshend Williams, a widow. They reared a large family in Tabor, IA, 1856-1886. They moved to Marion, KS 1886. He died there 1899. She died in Chattanooga, TN 1907. contact Mary Douglass, mdouglas@midusa.net
