I have just begun to trace my roots back through the Treat family. I came across this forum almost by accident just minutes ago and I am amazed. My family is from Arkansas and I was raised in Illinois. I hope to get up to speed and contact you again soon since I am related to MANY Treats in Arkansas and I never realized where the pre-Arkansas roots extended to. A large number of Treats are centered in/around Champaign,Il. My great-grandparents Clara and Troy Treat had several sons who came to Illinois for work and 2 settled here. I'll be in touch.
