I don't research Trevathan, but I am Lassiter descendant and perhaps your Trevathans may be connected to my family. In the late 1600s or early 1700s in Nansemond Co VA or Chowan Co NC there was a William TREVATHAN who was married to Mary LASSITER, daughter of Robert Lassiter of Nansemond Co VA. William and Mary had a son named Robert Trevathan,apparently a grown man by 1743, at which time William Trevathan was already deceased.
