Permelia Gates married a Mr. Langford in Clay Co Tenn. I believe. Her mother was..Martha Holman Trice who md. John Norwood Gates.Permelia was the oldest daughter and remained in Tenn. when most of the rest of the family came to Calif. in the 150's. Some where I have seen a will, mentioning slaves by name. Perhaps from Tandy Trice's will in Kentucky. Marilyn
