This is not my line, but I saw this information posted at nlt.rootsweb.com Nancy Trice's Home Page: "In his will, May 1796, North Carolina, George Herndon mentioned his daughter, Maryanne who married (Ezekiel) Trice. I found this on microfilm #0896824, "Some Early Marriages 1752-1800, Orange Co., North Carolina" The author had searched for mentions of marriages in wills. These were not in any other records that she could find at the time (1957). I forgot to write down her name, but remember it as Mary Sheldon Herndon or Mary Herndon Sheldon."
