I am not sure where I got the information... but I have two possabilities for her parents and William and Elizabeth were one of them.

I did find her in the 1850, 1860 and 1880 census but she had already married Eli Dopps by then. The 8880 census indicates the her parents were born in MD... but we know how that goes. That one also says she was born in MD while the other two say Ohio.

Yes, my great grandmother was Ellen Dopps b. 22 Feb 1849, in Vermilion, Illinois and while much of the Dopps line has been reserched this particular branch hasn't.
