Hi Sharon,

I am a descendant of the Triggs family and have your Jacob S. Triggs in my records. Unfortunately, like you I have no information on when, where he died or is buried. I believe he was the son of William Triggs and Susannah Malone and a brother to my great-great grandfather, David Marshall Triggs. However, I could be mistaken about his parents. There is another Jacob S. Triggs whom we share the same birthdate 29 Apr 1828, that was the son of John Triggs by his wife Hannah Malone. John was a brother to William Triggs and Hannah was a sister to Susannah (Malone) Triggs. Let me know if I placed your ancestor with the wrong parents so I can correct my records.

Presently, I am preparing my material for publication the book simply entitled Triggs and Allied Families. I could only trace the family back to 1806 Scioto County, Ohio to two brothers, Thomas and William Triggs both born in Virginia during the American Revolution.

Would be very happy to share what information I have on the family with you. My material grandmother was Cleo Ellen Triggs daughter of Jacob Jay Triggs granddaugther of David Marshall Triggs.

Best wishes to you and your research,

Dennis W. Simpson
