The 1830 Monroe County, MS, census enumerates the Obediah Trimmer family as follows:
4 males under the age of five years
1 male of thirty and under forty
1 female under the age of five
1 female of five and under ten
1 female of thirty and under forty
I have not found them in the 1840 census.
The 1850 Harrison County, TX census enumerates the family thus:
NameageGenderBirth place
O. Trimmer61mVA
E.48fSC
E. E.21fMS
O. G.20mMS
J. N.18mMS
S. S.17fMS
B. E.15fMS
J. A.12fMS
Obediah was born in Hanover County, VA, according to the War of 1812 pension application filed by Elizabeth Mayfield Trimmer.
I believe that Obediah was the son of William Trimmer who paid taxes in King William County, VA, from 1782 to 1818.A William Trimmer and Obediah Trimmer sold land inherited from their father William Trimmer in 1821 in King William County.
