TRITSCH LINEAGE

My family and I just came back from a short visiting trip in Alsace, at the village of Sausheim near Mulhouse where 16 Tritsch are living.
My relative there is a distant aunt named Helene HURTIGER who married a Jean TRITSCH. They have three boys, two still work on the farm.
Our family tree goes back to around 1650 when a Casparus HURTIGER married an Elisabetha TRITSCH.
Later on a Sebastien HURTIGER married Elisabeth TRITSCH on 04/20/1807.
Our family probably originated from southern Germany or Switzerland when Louis the 14th called in immigrants to repopulate Alsace which had been devasteted by the 30 years war.
Helene mentioned that the TRITSCH originated from around AACHEN in Germany (Aix-la -Chapelle).
Many citizens of Alsace left the country around 1870 after the province became German country. Some HURTIGER s moved to Algeria (and later came back), others to the Paris area.
By the way my spouse is a US citizen, with relatives in Florida.
Best regards.
